It was a fabulous property with parts dating from the 15th century, that has been carefully, sympathetically and lovingly, restored by Veronique. Everything was clean, well chosen, stylishly in keeping, and very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect, and enjoyed in good company with Veronique, whose English is far better than my French. It was really the service from Veronique that made this stay so so special. She could not have been more pleasant, more helpful or accommodating - even with me turning up way too early!

This unique destination is a place to relax in superb surroundings, with a huge park to explore, charming people and a great restaurant. It deserves to be better known, and is a tribute to Alain Juono, who brought it back from the dead and transformed it into a one of the nicest places to visit in this part of Brittany.

We had stayed here 4 years ago and as we would be travelling nearby we wanted to stay there again. The botanic garden is superb. Lunch at the garden centre restaurant and they agreed to deliver evening meals to chateau- with staff willing to reheat it. Large bedroom with on suite shower. Very quiet night. Breakfast well presented. Very helpful staff. Further advantage being opportunity to go around the extensive gardens before it got busy. We will stay there again if opportunity arises.

This property was located within the spectacular private Botanical gardens of Haut Bretagne. To really appreciate the 25 hectares gardens it is necessary to allocate at least 90minuites and follow the 2km marked trail which ensures you see everything. A restaurant was also situated in the gardens for lunch and dinner plus tea rooms.

Large roomy bedroom with wonderfully quaint antique en suite bathroom complete with wood pannelling and deep bath. The gardens were a complete surprise and worth allowing a few hours time to explore. Our hostess kindly provided us with cutlery, plates etc for an evening picnic we had brought with us, and insisted on washing our grapes. It was interesting to hear the history of the house and gardens from her.
