I was made very welcome. The facilities were modest, as expected. I had cycled 120 miles from St Malo to get there that day and the modest sounding cold platter laid out for me was filling, & fantastic in every way.

Marithé was a wonderful host - very welcoming and kind. She suggested where I could get some food for the evening and provided a cool drink, plates and cutlery. She also provided somewhere secure for me to store my bicycle overnight.
The room was large and very comfortable and there was a nice bathroom. It was quiet and I slept well.
Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to eat. I met Marithé's husband in the morning and he was very friendly too.

This is quite an incredible place and feels much like hanging out in a wonderfully spacious tree house. It's well equipped and comfortable and offers a lot of space in which to unwind and relax. The bedroom is quite zen-like and would be the ideal room for morning yoga. The host Jean Pierre is wonderfully welcoming, warm and friendly and surely has many tales to tell of his admirable efforts to build this place solely out of wood. And if you're a cat lover, you might just come across Peu Peu (I think that's how it might be spelled), super friendly and laid back.... which gives you another clue on what to expect at this quite special place settled in calm surroundings. This was a little gem! The room was just right for our family with little touches of luxury in the jacuzzi bath. The hostess was lovely and chatty. We were the only ones there after a wedding so it felt like really personal service.
