Didn't stay as Sandra was rude, obnoxious and ranting on messages and WhatsApp when I said I was going to arrive later tgan her vheck ins due to roadworks and my ferry change subsequently. I did not feel comfortable nor welcome to stay under those circumstances due to her ranting, and neither her nor booking.com would refund my money. Buyers beware! My wife and I had to find last minute accommodation.

A charming and attractive small pension with gite in a quiet spot in Charente. It is made truly special by the warmth and kindness of exceptional hosts, Bastiaan and Melanie. Breakfasts are hearty, the very good value meal on our first night was a kind thought that saved us stress after a day's travel, and them taking trouble every day to chat about how our break was going, and to help when we had a puncture, was really welcome.

The hosts are very friendly, they left lots of goodies for us and breakfast was really nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable, what a fantastic mattress!!!!!!
The hosts have a very cute dog. But our dog didn't want to play with her, however our labrador enjoyed the place immensely, she didn't want to leave.

Maison Fossemagne was amazing from the moment you open the door. The original stone floors, doors and beams are beautifully paired with the eclectic objet d’art that appear to reflect the owners’ excellent taste. The renovations are sympathetic to the building yet modern and spacious. Both Rob and Rini were very welcoming and willing to share their experiences of renovating the property, of the area and of buying property in France.

We stayed at Nana Mac for only one night on our way home from Spain, but would have happily stayed longer if we had the time! The property has been beautifully renovated while retaining historic elements. The hosts are super friendly and enthusiastic about the surroundings. There is a huge garden with a lot of secret spots to relax and the alpacas make it even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back!

It was a very peacefully place to stay in the French countryside.
A lovely quiet location after a long day driving.
The bedroom is very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
It has a very nice large shower room, and the tea and coffee making facility with fresh milk was welcomed.
The next morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, before we had to travel north back towards the UK
We had a great stay here, Villa de Lussais has many unique selling points - the large, super comfy beds, the luxurious walk-in showers complete with deluxe toiletries, delicious breakfast and two great hosts, Johan and Ricardo! They made our stay extra special and shared many tips about the local area - places to eat, etc. The recommended Pizzeria Jos was great! Also, special kudos to Ricardo for making excellent poached eggs at breakfast - and eggs from their pet chickens no less!
