Nicolas is a very friendly, sympathetic and helpful host. Au Doux Refuge is a little paradise. It is nicer than a hotel! Comfortable room with wardrobe. As a "genius" member of booking.com, breakfast was included in the price. It was very good and although I don't eat gluten there were plenty of other options including yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit pots, eggs and gluten free madeleines. The parking was private and free. Being in the centre of Bernay made it easy to walk to the restaurants. The staff were very obliging and friendly.
Lovely place to stay! Anne is a wonderful host. The house is charming and beautifully renovated, it is in an excellent location on a quiet historic street. Fantastic breakfast too!
