The welcome. The beautiful terrace garden and the wonderful house with so many unexpected treasures. The antiques were interesting but, in complete contrast, the essential modern appliances were superb. Every facility was available. Our host, Patricia, is a very interesting person. The breakfast was amazing and the evening meal was out of this world, Ellen is an exceptional chief I don't know how she does it, we arrived with a puncture and Robert was on the case straight away and took us to the garage the next day to be sorted, the views where unbelievable and constantly changing, Great walks is this area. An amazing and totally original and unique chateau. Untouched and with original furnishings/furniture.
The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was like a banquet.
They don’t provide dinner, but provided us with refreshments when we arrived and gave us full use of their upstairs dining room for dinner that we had brought with us.
The gardens were beautiful and rarely will you have the opportunity to stay in such an authentic place.
