The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to sit on the balcony overlooking vineyards and the Mosel. But what made it a great stay was that Markus was such a great host. Guests should be aware that check-in (and breakfast) is at the restaurant at the opposite end of the village, but this is a steady walk or a short drive. And it's worthwhile as the restaurant, which is popular with locals, serves excellent food along with the very good wines that Markus makes. And although he's always busy, he makes the time to chat to guests, and he's an interesting chap. We have visited the area several times before, and will certainly return here again.

We had a comfortable clean room with a very good breakfast in the delightful town of Mesenech. It is easily reached by bicycle. There is secure bicycle storage in a garage and a delightful terrace on the property to enjoy a bottle of wine which one can purchase at the location. The wine is from vines 25' from the front door. The host is very helpful and concerned.
