Keys were left outside, didn't see any personnel so I would say it's a self check inn.
Would definitely recommend! There is a big supermarket around the corner and some bakeries too for a nice breakfast.

The room was quiet and spacious and larger than we expected, the beds were comfortable and there were also 2 comfy chairs. The breakfast as well as the meals offered in the Greek and Mediterranean restaurant were very good. Having our dog with us, we were happy to be just one step away from the countryside while the city of Basel can still be reached in 10 minutes by car.

Super friendly staff, extensive breakfast and the villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden for a relaxing stroll. Highly recommanded for a pleasant stop on the way to Italy, or back.
