We loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The staff and owner were very welcoming and informative. The salt water pool was lovely and felt like it was in a little nature oasis. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the terrace for wildlife viewing. We saw birds, monkeys, snakes, and cool insects while we were there. Breakfast was wonderful and the location was great. It's up a steep hill outside of town, but the road was good and easy to drive.

The location of the property was remote, which was exactly what we were looking for to start our trip. Thomas, the owner of the property, was an incredibly hospitable host who made us feel like we were staying with a close friend. He provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable, including towels for both the pool and shower, and other items we may have forgotten to bring. Additionally, he gave us many helpful suggestions for tours, food, and anything else we wanted to know. We had the property all to ourselves for the first day, which made it feel like our own personal oasis. The property boasts two pools - one warmer than the other (best enjoyed later in the evening) and one that was perfect for cooling off during the day. Each day we were provided with breakfast (toast, jam, juice, coffee/tea and fresh fruits).

The resort has a small collection of buildings, all furnished in a beautiful Costa Rican tropical style. The grounds feature beautiful walking paths with art. The sound of the surf is ever present and the small cove is just yards away from the sleeping areas. Sitting furniture and tables are at the beach area and under the palms. Located in Mal Pais, it is quiet at night, but only a very short drive up to the shops, restaurants, and bustle of Santa Teresa. The free breakfast selection was excellent, flavorful, plated beautifully. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It is not a large resort, but a right-sized getaway with first class service.

The charm of the structure and the land it is upon. A mix of jungle and flower fauna (with chickens, dogs and a cat mixed in). The pool is a delight as well. Oh…and the BEST shower!
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great views, peaceful, close nto nature and amazing and quiet beaches (Manchas, Cedros). Excellent breakfast. Beautiful construction with wood. Room wasnt very spacious but still very welcoming and comfortable.
Spacious Colonial type House with huge balconies, large, comfortable rooms and views of the ocean. I appreciated the balcony rocking chair to sit and rest in and the huge window in my room. A great location, very close to the main village area but quiet and tranquil.
Quaint, great location, clean, perfect !! Pool was clean, beautiful well kept grounds!! Howlers in the am, Capuchin and Capybera along with a few iguanas. Excellent restaurants nearby. Small fridge in unit, we bought a loaf of bread and made peanut butter and banana sandwiches for breakfast. Coffee and bananas were available each morning at the office which was great!
Helpful staff (they helped us book a shuttle to Playa Del Coco), clean facilities, beautiful patio/outdoor areas to hang out, quiet, great location, coffee available in the morning, lots of lines to hang wet towels, clothes and swim suits.

Great location & very friendly stuff. It´s very close to the center but around nature & quiet. The stuff will tell you all about the nice routes & beaches in the neighborhood and what to do there. They also have all the buses timetables which is very helpful.
Lovely garden with a private tide pool. Juices at breakfast were very tasty (try the one with passionfruit). Lots of assistance from Ammi (who spoke Swedish to our delight :) ) A 10 minute walk from the city center, bring a flashlight at night.
