For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The Lodge is located in a beautiful setting. The building has a lot of history, and is currently decorated with many pieces of Indigenous art which was very much appreciated. We especially enjoyed the peace and quite, and the greetings from the household cats. Breakfast was very good, and included a fresh fruit salad.
Stayed here for one night on the way to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal. Great location for staying out of the hectic cities, and they are pet friendly for a $20+tax fee. The room was very up to date with quiet A/C and a comfortable bed -- extremely good value for an overnight stay. Judging by the number of folks at the pub downstairs, it's a popular location off the beaten path.
The accommodation was comfortable and had everything in the room that we needed. The bed was comfortable and being in a rural location, the surroundings were very quiet allowing for a great sleep! Hosts were friendly.
Greeted warmly by our hosts on arrival. The room was big with a very comphy bed.We had a large balcony over looking the orchard of fruit trees. Chickens roaming everywhere and eggs for sale.
Theres coffee, juice & toast available in the morning. Extremely quiet and peaceful place.
There is a large rustic room with pool table,piano,books,cd for guests.
There is also a private cabin where we plan to stay next time.
The lodge was in a nice, quiet country location. The lodge had lots of character and the staff were all very friendly. We had an excellent breakfast and enjoyed the company of the other guests. Hearing the frogs croaking at night was a unique experience -- we really felt like we were away from it all.
