This quaint cabin was how we envisaged our Tasmanian accomodation. It was warm, cosy and exceeded our initial impressions. The bed was comfortable, the bath amazing and the added little extras (eg. bath salts, linen sheets) made this feel very comfortable and homely. The restaurant suggested by our host, ‘The Risby’ was our favourite meal to date on our Tasmanian travels and a very short stroll up the street.
Penghana Bed & Breakfast operates from an 1898 National Trust Mansion, on a scenic hillside, overlooking Queenstown’s township.

The facility is an historic one, very elegant and cosy, overlooking the city and in a woody area. The managers were very friendly and helpful. They upgraded my accommodation due to plumbing problems. The breakfast was delicious and handmade. Highly recommended.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The Quarters is an incredibly beautiful home with luxury surroundings and peace and quiet to truly relax and rest. I am looking forward to bringing my husband along for the next trip as I know he too will enjoy the space.
Thank you to the owners for your time and care. Your home makes a massive difference to others and I am incredibly grateful for it.
Great location. Quiet, clean, excellently appointed with everything we needed. Really good size. Great bedding, tons of pillows. Abundance of hot water, good shower in the massive bathroom.
Location is great and quiet. The surrounding holiday houses are very poor constructed and maintained. The whole area looks like a cheap camp site next to the water. Breakfast is very poor. only opened half pack of bread, some cereal, honey and jam, no other things at all.
My husband and I loved our three nights' stay at Annie and Peter's place, which was quiet and situated in a great location just 10 minutes walk from Strahan CBD and a few minutes from the IGA. The accommodation was a studio, but it was large, exceptionally clean, well laid out, and thoughtfully equipped. Annie was a lovely host, happy to share local knowledge, and very accommodating. We'd stay again and therefore recommend
Like a sweet little home away from home! Totally peaceful and quiet. So private and relaxing. Loved the gas fireplace, too easy and just perfect for the cold winter nights, warmed me to the soul. And the spa bath! What a treat. Great location, walking distance to everything I wanted in Strahan.
