No staff at location that I could see, but the people I spoke to over the phone to get instruction on collecting the key, seemed lovely. Room was nice, spacious, clean but missing a proper waste paper basket or bin so I had to buy some trash bags for my stay and stored it in the cupboard.
Spa bath was amazing and I loved the big bathroom, mirrors and sink area for getting ready. Shower head was a bit wonky and shelf in shower was very wobbly. Not a big deal but worth noting.
Light in bedroom had a dimmer switch but didn't work. Also, not a big deal because there were a lot of lighting options in the room anyway -between the big light and the various lamps. One small tv and desk, big wardrobe with mini fridge and safe. Complementary wine and chocolates on arrival was a nice touch.
The desk was handy for catching up on work but sadly there was no wifi and internet reception was terrible. That was probably the biggest let down of the trip, as the mobile phone reception in that location was really poor. I am with Optus and it was impossible to hotspot my lap top from my mobile because the signal strength was so low. It made it difficult to make phone calls, video calls dropped out and froze constantly and I had to drive out of the golf estate to google directions to places.
Perfect if you like the idea of an 'unplugged' holiday. Close enough to town to have a short drive in to cafes, restaurants and tourist stuff. Nice and close to the beach but I didn't get to explore if there was a beach access at the end of the road because of the poor weather while I was there.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great location in the old part of town and short walk to shops and restaurants. Beautiful studio accomodation - charming hosts - some local and home made treats including wine cheese and local bread milk and eggs were provided
We have stayed at Saltair on many occasions and it is always a very welcoming and comfortable property in a great location. The breakfasts are outstanding with the tasty local produce and daily variability, the view towards Middleton Beach is also outstanding. The heated tiles on the floor on a cold day are perfect. It is very quiet and peaceful and perfect for a relaxing stay.
I like the spa, the nice smelling toiletries and the heater in the bathroom. The breakfast is good and complete with hot cooked food. The fried bee hoon is a pleasant surprise, delicious and comfort food for Asians. A private sheltered car park lot next to your cottage. It is also near to the city centre and short drive to the farmers' market.
Value for money.
Great location, close to all the city centre but very quiet considering it is on a highway. The beds were comfortable and water pressure was really good to my surprise.
