Breakfast was certainly first class - Rich is a great chef. Kim is an informed host with the skinny on activities, restaurants, and what all. The lodge is on a quiet road close to everything - an easy walk to the beach and park area of Lake Lure. Top your day off with a home-baked cookie made fresh everyday.

The beach was conveniently a quick walk through the pool areas. Lots of amenities including a restaurant, pools, hot tubs. We walked a little in a circle the first day trying to figure things out but our little walk was still enjoyable. Needed a table for 8 one night, I got to walk down to the restaurant, add my name to the waitlist, and wait for the table to be ready in the comforts of “home”.
