Amphoe Chiang Dao
Boasting a garden and views of river, บ้านเคียงธาร โฮมสเตย์ แม่แมะ is a recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Amphoe Chiang Dao, 41 km from Elephant Nature Park. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. Guests can make use of the outdoor fireplace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the mountain and garden. The scenery was amazing and the two bedroom house was clean with very comfortable beds.

The room, the staff and the place is absolutely beautiful. There are only about 8-10 bungalows so it's really quite private too. The pool is small but very clean & well maintained. My son was on crutches having broken his leg and the staff were amazing. They brought him breakfast every morning & we're truly wonderful with us. The owner is lovely too and speaks very good English. He has 2 very well kept horses a short distance away from the resort with a small fishing pond (3 mins walk to the bottom of the street) and they're very friendly horses liking a scratch or 2. There's a lovely little coffee shop 5 mins walk away that does the most divine cakes (seriously light & fluffy) & barista freshly ground coffee.
The facilities are suitable for somebody on crutches (a step up into the property & step down to bathroom) but not for wheelchair users although for somebody who can step transfer or walk a few steps they may be ok. Our shower didn't have grab rails but the shower head stretched so my son could sit on the loo and shower properly.
Mae Ai
Nestled in the middle of beautiful natural surroundings, Areeya Phuree Resort offers non-smoking Thai-inspired rooms with free Wi-Fi. Guests can relax in an outdoor swimming pool. The resort is a 10-minute drive to the famous Karen Long Neck Hill Tribe. It is amazing and the nature here is excellent. The weather is good. Air Four Cafe is very beautiful and feels sweet.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location for the city and nightlife. Staff were super helpful and polite, our room was cleaned and bed made up every day. It was the comfiest bed we've had in 10 years of going to Thailand!

Everything about our stay was fantastic - from the moment we arrived, staff were warm and friendly, and super helpful with organising trips and everything else. The pool area was great to cool down, great room and really comfortable bed! Perfect location too, quiet but convenient for the Old town with great food and coffee nearby, and great recommendations from the staff. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Staff are lovely, very helpful & wanted your stay to be special and they succeeded. It's a perfect location with easy walking distance to restaurants, markets & temples. Rooms are a comfortable size, well appointed, and very clean. A big thank you to the staff for going the extra mile. We highly recommend this hotel in Chiang Mai.
beautiful room with a beautiful roof top garden which has some of the best views! especially at sunset. perfect location, 20 min walk to old town but right down the road from the big night bazaar. motorcycles can be rented from reception.
It's the first time to go abroad, the surrounding environment in Thailand is good and quiet, the room is clean and tidy, the stay is very comfortable, it's convenient to go to the seaside, the consumption here is not high, the cost performance is better than that in China, the waiters are very friendly, and they can speak a little Chinese. It's very kind and satisfactory.
Perfect location and lovely modern, clean rooms. Bathroom design was a highlight and sunset drinks at the Rise rooftop also. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
