Boats leave from Tulcea and arrive to a small harbour in Sulina, just 1 km away from Alga Vila. Sulina Beach, on the Black Sea, is 1.2 km away from the hotel. Guests can cycle along the Black Sea coast to Sfintu Gheorghe, about 33 km away. The owners are great, the room is spacious and stylish, beddings are comfortable. Sulina is like my dream town,quiet, a bit isolated and seemingly on the edge of something (at the end of the ferry on the Danube estuary and after that just the Black Sea). There's a spit/peninsula that goes a few KM out into the water and eventually to a lighthouse, but we didn't go that far and I'm not sure if it's possible to go all the way to the end by walking. Taking out my GPS along the route, you pass within 3 KM of the Ukrainian border.

The boat is beautiful, George is a fantastic host, the cats were the cherry on top. George helped us arrange two boat trips on the Delta with a great guide - do not miss on it as it was an integral part of the stay. The boat is a bit far from the port, 45 minutes walk, but you can take a taxi. George offers bikes, in case you want to go to a restaurant, grocery store or just make a trip to the beach. We will for sure be back!

The owners were very accommodating, they offered us a boat trip, which was amazing. The food was excellent. If we could, we would definitely stay longer.
