Villa Coco is located 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride (free) from Playa Estero, a famous spot to learn surfing and enjoy the beach. The town center, 10 minutes away, offers multiple restaurants and bars and the takeoff spot for the UNESCO world heritage Coiba, bookable in the hotel. The restaurant was exceptional. Our room was super cozy. Pool area was so relaxing. Free bike rentals were an awesome perk.

Casa Maya, located at a walking distance from Santa Catalina and a 5-minute walk from town beach, 20-minute walk from the Estero beach, Casa Maya features a garden, terrace and free high speed internet. Check in was super easy. There was a sign on our door with our name welcoming us. Paola was always there to greet us and ask us how we were doing when would return from our outings. The room was extremely clean. The A/C worked great!

Pia and Enrique are very nice and generous hosts, and the room was perfectly clean and comfortable, with a hammock on the terrace. The view from the property is lovely. You can reach the property via the road, but there is also a shortcut into the village center along the beach and over a creek, if you don‘t mind potentially getting your feet a bit wet. Note the tap water is not suitable for drinking, so make sure to bring some water or buy it in the village. Also, the cafe in the village centre for which there are menus in the room is really good!

What an amazing place! Can’t say enough good things about the property. The owner was very accommodating, the property was beautiful and clean and we could lay in our bed and see the ocean waves crashing down during this super moon high tide! Surfers were out there in large numbers having a blast. We had a long drive on the day we arrived and our host made us the best frozen margaritas that we have ever had! The town is small and friendly which was perfect. This property has an awesome pool that we had to ourselves every evening. If your looking for a clean, comfortable, romantic getaway… this place is it! Best place we went to in Panama!

At the accommodation rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels. Really beautiful small hotel in a unique and peaceful location. While the drive is long, it is worth it and you get to experience being in a jungle with howler monkeys, lots of birds, squirrels, butterflies as well as the most beautiful endless beach. Cari and her husband put a lot of care and thought into the hotel and really look after each guest. The food is outstanding - there isn't a large choice which is understandable, but everything is locally sourced and home made and we had some of our best meals there, as well as the best gin and tonic! Overall this has been one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. For the best stay, make sure to follow Cari's instructions and understand that this is a jungle setting, so there will be some insects and you will get woken up by the howler monkeys (but then if you are to be woken up, being woken up by nature is the nicest way :) We wish we could give bonus points for her pets, the friendliest dog Princessa and cutest, little kitty Tila.
