I have stayed in probably all the hotels and rental houses in Poneloya-Las Peñitas, and so far, this is my favorite one for sure. It's so private and so nice, the room was perfect, the perfect combination between elegance and simplicity, it has everything that you need. There is only 3 rooms in the hotels so you have the pool and the area just for yourself as the restaurant costumers are not allowed on it, and this, this is a gem in Las Peñitas. The location is really good, close to most of the social places in the coast, so you can go almost everywhere walking as it is not so far. The restaurant is right in front of the hotel, a couple of steps actually, and let me tell you, THE food. The food is amazing, it's an Italian seafood restaurant but it has other options like meat and so, I can't tell you how good it is, it's definitely a must try. The customer service was really good, they were always very helpful and friendly. We got a massage on Sunday (Get one, Eva was amazing) and they made the arranges for us. Communication was always available, Manuela is an amazing host. I would definitely recommend it to everybody and I'll try to make it my regular hotel for Poneloya-Las Peñitas.

Bananoz Surfhouse is situated on the seafront in El Tránsito, a few steps from El Transito Beach. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. 11/10 stay. Owners were so lovely and friendly. The property was clean and comfortable. Beach right out front. Can’t beat it!

The place is very quiet with a nice beach, just a short walk away from the bars and restaurants. The restaurant is good and the staff are friendly and helpful!

The units are fitted with a shared bathroom, while selected rooms here will provide you with a terrace and others also have a garden view. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, quiet and peaceful community feeling. Intact mosquito nets for each guest were a big plus. Great stay overall!

Nibu is a slice of paradise. It has stunning views and was so cute. loved Gretal! She’s amazing, so sweet, so kind, and so caring. She is a fantastic cook as well. All the food was delicious. She also introduced me to her family and gave me a few rides. One was to get my bus and another to Nimbu after the sun had set. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with her as well. 10/10

Located just a few steps from El Transito Beach, Casa Todo Bueno features accommodation in El Tránsito with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. The bed and breakfast provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Jon, Janelle and Lenny's (the boss dog!) place is well worth the stay. Their hospitality is warm, friendly and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. The common area and kitchen are really well stocked with cookware, and there's a little grocery store across the street as well as in the town. We loved the viewing deck for lounging in the day. The AC cost (if you use it) is also below the going rate for using AC in Nicaragua, and the ceiling fans / windows move the air around really well. We've been to El Transito a few times and it's by far one of the best deals / places to stay, we're going back again in a few days! You can also ask then questions about what to do and how to get around, they know the area very well and are really helpful.

Guests at Sirena Surf Lodge Miramar Nicaragua can enjoy billiards on site, or go snorkelling or cycling in the surroundings. Great quiet place to stay right on the ocean. Food was incredible!

Situated in Las Peñitas, within 600 metres of Poneloya Beach and 600 metres of Las Peñitas Beach, Cabanas Rusticas features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. We were there as a couple and stayed in one of the private cabañas. We really enjoyed our stay, despite the heat we slept pretty well. The bed is confortable and has a nice mosquito net. We felt welcomed and appreciated the chilled family vibe of the place, it is also quiet and the internet works well if you need to do a bit of work. The kitchen is also well equipped if you like to cook. You do need to walk a bit to go to the beach but you can also rent bikes :) If you have a mean of transportation (we had a moto), it is also super easy to go explore and spend the day in Leon !
