Fantastic location, wonderful weather even during rain season (we were here end of august/beginning september), the cabaña was beautiful and comfy, basically glamping right on the beach. Food is priced ok (80-160 mxn $ for a main course) and tasted good.

For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. I loved the Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao. I arrived shortly after a strong storm had passed through and left the entire area without power. Junkolal was prepared with an electric generator. While they didn't run it all the time (nor would I have expected them to), I was grateful that they were prepared to provide energy during a blackout. I was also pleased with their wonderful, folksy service. There was a group staying there at the same time that got a little loud a few times, but staff made sure that the group was quiet after dark and didn't disturb the other guests. Nery was an especially great host. He thoroughly described the property, it's coffee farm, and overlook, and the area to me. He was happy to provide tours (for a well-deserved and reasonable fee, of course) to nearby sites. Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao was my favorite stay during a 3-week vacation throughout Chiapas. I would definitely recommend it!

Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Guests can enjoy Italian and Mexican dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. However, the rooms themselves are well maintained and very clean. Room 301 is by far the smallest but is the only one within the restaurant building and exits directly into the yard which leads to the beach. This room does not appear on booking; we changed when we extended our visit. It was our little cave with an ocean view! During the week the hotel offers one night free for one paid. This applies on booking as well except for Thursday with a free Friday The food varies quite bit. Fish was great, pizza mediocre. The menu is quite extensive.

This is my third stay here. It is my go to hotel in Tapachula. It is clean, reasonably quiet and decently priced.
