The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. The hosts, Jujun and Borja are very kind and helpful persons. At the end, it was a bit sad to say goodbye to them. The room was very comfortable, we had everything what we needed. It has a big terrace, big enogh to do yoga or just relax comfortably. Their kitchen is very good, breakfast and dinner are available, but they also made lunch for us the day when we arrived and was very hungry. There are just a few bungalows, it's really cosy and private.

Good food, great host (Deni - contact him with whatever question you have, f.e. transport to/from the island). Enjoy the turtles, the fishes, the sand and the coconut :-).

The accommodation features a tour desk, and currency exchange for guests. The Banyak Islands are an exceptionally beautiful group of islands with great clear water and very few tourists so far. Tailana Island is a very pretty little island, jungle inside, beautiful beaches with reefs in front of the island for snorkeling, you can quickly see a lot of small fish. There is also a diving school on Tailana. There is only one accommodation with a few small huts, perfect for relaxing and living life easy. Simple but thoughtful with comfort, little waste produced, the freshly cooked food is very good. Great team, thank you Lukas and Dicky! The beach, the palm trees and the clear waters of the deep blue sea are picture perfect everywhere around the island. Our beautiful wooden bungalow was nice and basic - but with all most important necessities - and well maintained, with an attractive veranda with two lovely wicker armchairs, a table and a hammock. It was wonderfully relaxing to spend time here reading or just staring at the sea… The MB Palambak Island Resort has only eight bungalows, all identically designed and in good shape. The four shared bathrooms/toilets are spotlessly clean and well looked after too. The resort is currently one of only two places to stay on the island. There are no settlements or villages, which enhances the Robinson Crusoe feeling. Communal meals are prepared in the central restaurant shack and served at the big tables outside on the veranda (or inside when it’s raining). Before arrival you’ll be asked if you have any food preferences - vegetarian/fish/chicken - and the cook matches your desires. Every day the menu was a surprise, but it was always delicious and with great variety. We didn't have the same dish once during the four days we stayed here. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are free available for guests. However, the underwater world around Pulau Palambak is not the most beautiful in the Banyak Islands; for that you‘re better off going to Tailana or Tambarat. Boat trips can be arranged at reasonable costs. The sand in front of the resort is cleaned daily by the staff (possibly together with volunteering guests). Staff is super friendly and helpful. Essential communication takes place by e-mail and WhatsApp via Mrs Claudine, the great organizational talent behind the scenes. She can also arrange your boat transport from/to the mainland. The MB Camp in Singkil has the same owner as the MB Palambak Island Resort. Direct speedboats can be arranged between both places if required.

Ira Bungalows Pulau Banyak has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Alaban. The accommodation provides a range of water sports facilities and a private beach area, as well as a bar and barbecue facilities. The accommodation features room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. We had a real nice stay there. It's a beautiful little island out in nowhere. So bring some cookies for yourself or the 3 nice guys (Yulio, Edo and Idris) that are hosting you and cooking so good 3 times a day or bring a guitar string for Yulios guitar, he will play some songs for you. They will be so thankful. Anyway it's the perfect place to find some rest and time to snorkel or cuddle with the cats or dog. We had such a great time there, made a bonfire and just sit together, sang together and talked and laughed. Since we organised the way to the Island ourselves we were happy that Ira organised our way back to Medan by a shared car. We could even pay by paypal or wise transfer since we couldn't find an ATM in Singkil that was working for us. Thanks for the wonderful stay. I would recommend this to anyone:-)
