Extremely walkable location;. easy to take a Borders bus to Siccar Point, a major site in geology and the history of science. I would love to return.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge. Royal Yacht Britannia is 32 km from the holiday home and Arthurs Seat is 32 km away. We liked the lovely renovated cottage with the nice and accentuated furnishing, the Nespresso Coffee Machine and the 3min walk to the train station as well as the great location in East Lothian.

Royal Mile is 5.9 km from the guest house and Edinburgh Waverley station is 6.3 km away. Chris and Sinead were incredible hosts and made us feel at home from check-in. The breakfast each morning was something we looked forward to each day. It was restaurant quality (wife asked for a recipe) and the soft background music (personal note here) was spot on. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property is located near a bus stop, so getting around isn’t an issue. Lastly, it’s a 2 minute (max) skip down to the beach. It’s one block away.

The property is allergy-free and is located 1 km from Gullane Beach. A wonderful hotel, staff were superb from arrival to departure, rooms are fabulous with luxurious beds and toiletries, clean towels every day whether needed or not. Only 10 mins walk from the hotel to a gorgeous sandy beach, and Gullane has a charming main street. We ate in the main restaurant and the food was amazing, and we used the main bar and the outside garden area and loved the service given and choice of food and drinks in both. Will definitely be back!

A number of activities are offered in the area, such as windsurfing and diving. Omni Centre is 3.2 km from Another Room, while Edinburgh Festival Theatre is 3.4 km away. The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, 14 km from the property. The location is perfect! It’s a quick walk to the bus stop or a cheap Uber ride to the city and does not take long before you are in the city center. Lynne and Robert were so warm and welcoming and were very informative about places we should see in and around the city. The morning we left we had heartiest, homemade Scottish breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lynne and Robert’s home deserves a 10 out of 10!

Situated in the historic town of Gullane, on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, Maple Cottage B&B offers easy access to the championship Muirfield Links Golf Club, 3 minutes’ drive away. Many other nearby golf clubs can be reached within walking distance from the B&B. Heather was a gracious hostess and wonderful cook.
