Beautiful and peaceful hotel with friendly staff. Walking distance from the train station. The rooms are very comfortable, well sound-proofed and beautifully decorated. The breakfast had delicious local products and they provided gluten-free bread on request. The electric bike rental at the hotel was also great for a day trip. Lunch at the pool bar was very good and the drinks prices very reasonable. Would 100% stay again.

It's not often you get to stay in a one-month old hotel, but this one is brand new (late September-early October 2022). It is hidden away on a side street in a small forgettable village, which keeps it quiet at night. It's all new and absolutely spotless, and includes a nice spa and wonderful sauna and two hot tubs on the ground floor, and access across a lawn to a 7-pool swimming and hot spring water resort (which is not new and is shared with an adjacent camp ground). Rates include dinner, and the wine list is quite reasonable and includes some wines made in the same and in the next village. Both dinner and buffet breakfast were good if not quite gourmet. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, all bilingual in Hungarian and German. (Don't know about English because I speak both Hungarian and German, never tried English).

We have been so impressed that we immediately booked the next stay really soon. You will be in luck if one bungalow is available. The view is unbeatable! You will really feel the connection with the nature, the large spaces, all very beautiful. The owners go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The amazing pool is always ready for you to jump in, and it is so lovely to relax on the individual patios in the evening, watching the sunset over the national park. Excellent breakfast, healthy and diversified. Coffee machine always available was greatly appreciated, as well as the excellent wine/juice/other drinks from local producers that we could order at any time. All in all, this is a gem, and we are looking forward to returning very soon.

Set in Podersdorf am See in the Burgenland Region, 38 km from Bratislava, Gästehaus Schmidt boasts a barbecue and children's playground. The shore of Lake Neusiedl is a 2-minute walk away. This place is like home. You will find very friendly and warm atmosphere, and the most delicious breakfast in Austria. We were feeling very welcome.

In a quiet location in Podersdorf, just 200 metres from Lake Neusiedl and the public beach, Pension Schmidt offers a garden with a terrace and sunbathing lawn. Comfortable room and central location. Excellent breakfast and owner happily accommodated our request for a slightly earlier breakfast one morning.
