The location is wonderful and the staff is really friendly. The atmosphere is really relaxed, we immediately felt at home. The beach is close by and there are some cute dogs who love to join you during your beach walk. We ate at the backpackers lodge, which was great and is close by, but you can also bring your own groceries and cook at Delicious Monster. It felt like paradise here, I wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent location with stunning view. Mark who manages Ikaya is very helpful and accommodating and an all round excellent host. I was traveling with my dog and it was nice for her to hang out with the Ikaya resident dogs and cats.

The spacious apartment with a terrace and sea views has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. You can play darts at Fishermen s Cave. A private beach area is available on-site and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the accommodation.

The remoteness of the property and the fact that the area is so safe whilst being so remote and in the Port St John’s forest is a huge plus. The full DSTV package for the evenings and the fully equipped kitchen were super. We had a lovely braai on night one and then used the convection oven for lasagne on night 2. Suggestion: Update the cushions outside, as the outside area is lovely to sit at.

Mark and James upgraded us from a double room to a holiday home. This was such a treat as we have been backpacking for a few months. It was lovely to have so much space and a choice of rooms! The kitchen was well equipped. The view and beach access were great. We did two nice hikes during our stay.

The property is a stone throw away from the beach. You have a great view of the coastal sunrise. The hosts are lovely with such an efficient and lovely cleaning lady. The kitchen is well equipped to provide all the utensils and equipment required for self catering.

The signposting is a little weird and the Booking.com map is wrong - the world dominant map is correct however, so check there... the location is better than it looks. it isn't right on the beach - it is right on a river, but that is actually better because it divides you from the chaos of second beach. For the price and location, it is great... and the staff are top class.
