The staff were amazing, really helpful and lovely. The place was really clean and had lots of facilities available - lots of attention to detail. Perfect location. Couldn't have asked for more! Really great value for money.
We booked this place for 3 nights to travel around Chiang Rai's beautiful scenery. Hotel is at a perfect location just outside the heart of the city with quiet surroundings.

Staff are lovely, very helpful & wanted your stay to be special. It's a perfect location as it's close to restaurants and markets. Rooms are a comfortable size and are very clean. Free access to a great gym across the road. We highly recommend this hotel in Chiang Rai.
The host family was so warm-hearted and welcoming, sharing some snacks sometimes. And as a vegan, I loved breakfast fruits, plus bananas always available in the common area. Perfect location - close to the city center yet not noisy at all. Clean bathroom and nice laundry service from washing to dry for 100 bat.
Amazing place, perfect location in Chiang Mai, very friendly owner/staff that helps you organise all kinds of tours. The room was also nice. I would 100% recommend to stay here!
Either breakfast lunch or dinner the food was lovely as was all the facilities especially the swimming pool and the design of the hotel felt as though you should be stepping into the ocean
Absolutely loved our stay here at Backpack Hostel. First of all, it's a perfect location - 2 minutes walk from where our bus arrived. And literally around the corner from the night market. Ness was very helpful and welcoming. He really takes care of us. And also organized us on a slow boat ticket to Laos which was very smooth.
The rooms are clean and have powerful air conditioning. The rooftop is also a great spot to sit and have a drink while watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend.
Extremely welcoming hosts, delicious food & comfortable bed. & perfect location for visiting the summit for sunset & sunrise.
