Khao Lak (Near Ban Chao Nam)

Breakfast spread was very large and very good. The beach front restaurant the service was slow, however they made up the service. IT was very quick and swift to solve the HDMI issue in the room. SPA was nice. Kids Club was good but could be more games for 10 years old. Gym facility was awesome. Front and Bell Desk was always helpful.. Overall it was pleasant stay and we would like to come back again in future time.

We enjoyed a night here during low season (June 2023) and the lake-side villa we stayed in was outstanding...spacious, comfortable bed, beautiful view, absolute peace and quiet - and we loved the outdoor shower too! The staff were very friendly, and the location of the resort near a quiet and secluded beach was wonderful. The main restauarant was undergoing renovations, so both dinner and breakfast was at the resort's beachside restaurant - a short walk from where we were staying. The menu selection was well thought-out, especially for vegetarians, and was both reasnably priced and tasty. The breakfast buffet was also enjoyable, though we did have to ask for the hot dishes to be heated up (which was quick and easy). If you're looking for a quiet retreat in luxurious surroundings, this is a super option and we highly recommend it!
Bang Sak (Near Ban Chao Nam)
The Hip Resort @ Khao Lak is only a short 5-minute drive from Seastar Pier where guests can take boats to the nearby islands including Similan, Tachai and the Surin Islands. A room in private property 200 meters in length around 30 meters away from the beach. At night the area is very dark (there's a garden light from a next-door neighbor and a light from a hotel over 400 meters away), and it is very easy to see all the stars in the sky. The sound at night is the sound of the waves crashing and leaves rusting. The beach is on the west coast so the best view is the sunsetting into the sea in the evening. The property provides chairs and beds that you can carry to the beach to relax. The beach is a bit steep but can walk a little bit to find a good spot. In the evening, there'll be a lot of hermit crabs in the area.

The owner was really kind. The food was just amazing, the cook is the owner’s friend, fried noodle with pork… we each order like five Time! We had the big room, with the most beautiful view. It was the only one without air conditioning, but I wouldn't have traded it! the most on the lake at night was so calming and the view so beautiful that the fan was fine in the absence of air conditioning. We share the place with the little cat, soooo lovely and friendly. The village is away from city so if you want shopping, call a taxi or ask for a motobike! We stay for two weeks, near you have a nice restaurant with amazing drink (caramel milk numnum). You can walk to the beach, and go to the tsunami memorial and tsunami museum. We had access to a washing machine, and wifi. Again a big big thanks to our nice owner, really a amazing woman, she helps us a lot, made us try real thai food, she show us around, she Mades our trip magic!

This hotel is paradise, the rooms are sparkling clean, spacious, and stocked with everything you need. The terrace outside each room has chairs and the views are gorgeous! The hotel restaurant is also outstanding, we ate dinner here 2 nights and lunch on our last day and the tom ka gai, pad thai, kaeng phed ped, and red curry were delicious. The meals we had at this hotel are some of the best we have had in Thailand. The hotel is a 10 minute ride from the pier but they arrange transportation whenever you need it. The staff here also arranged two full day tours for us into Khoa Sok for trekking and visiting and elephant sanctuary. I strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is a beautiful facility. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend visiting the spa. We enjoyed our experience so much that we both went back for a second treatment! We also really enjoyed the live entertainment that we were able to observe one evening. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and our favourite stay during our trip to Thailand. And this was despite an overbooking and maintenance issue and being asked to give up our room with private pool access early, which the staff handled very well and compensated us generously for.
