There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sound of swirling waves and the smell of sea air through your bedroom window. Beachfront accommodation comes in a variety of forms, from well decked-out resorts to secluded homestays and villas. Beach hotel amenities can include air-conditioned rooms, private terraces overlooking the sea and outdoor pools with adjacent bars.
Chikondi, who runs the Quest, is very dedicated and super friendly. The breakfast is huge and so are the rooms. Perfect location between downtown and the airport, there are some nice places to eat in the area. Everything was very clean. Nice would be a cozy seating area in the garden.
Chef Heslon and the hospitality clerk Jamaima, the manager, were very friendly and helpful. Older properties (from the 60s) have more character, with large trees and grounds incorporated into modern conveniences. A convenient location - very private and quiet. Successfully found some shirts and dresses at Orient Palace in the Gateway Mall (also Queen's MAll). We also liked Cocos at Gateway. Try Game Mall. Malawi has incredible sunsets.
The decor and ambience was very relaxing. I felt like I was in a resort at the beach.
The food was great. Wish I ate more at the restaurant.
