The location was excellent, stunning. Although the beach walks were amazing it’s far too rough for anyone to swim in, too many rips and huge waves. Breakfast was lovely and fresh we really loved the fresh fruit too. Loads of flexibility and the staff very willing to accommodate all requirements.

Very clean, luxurious big room with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Wonderful host - very kind and helpful. Lovely breakfast and delicious dinner also - would recommend. Very close to turtle beach where we enjoyed the evening guided turtle tour.

Had the most amazing time at Villa Blu. The architecture is incredible and the setting is amazing right on the beach. The hotel is quite secluded with only a few other small hotels around, which meant we often had the beach to ourselves. It was a very relaxing place to stay. Kamal and his team Lasantha, Lakshita and Lalith were all so friendly and helpful. Kamal organised for us to see the turtles, do a lagoon tour in the bird sanctuary and to see the nearby fishing harbour - all amazing experiences! I would recommend Villa Blu to everyone

This was a fantastic hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly - always smiling and willing to help, without that feeling of 'imposing' on you.
Food was excellent. I absolutely recommend having the Sri Lankan breakfast, which was hoppers. We wish we'd had this every day!
Rooms were immaculate, and always 'turned over' to a very high standard. Pool/beach towels included. Views were incredible.
The location is a little remote with regards to excursions to find restaurants etc, but we did visit in shoulder season and maybe there is more in high season. As I say though, the food at the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced so we didn't feel this was a negative.
The staff helped enormously when booking activities - you could look to arrange this yourself but they really made it so simple, and having them take care of us was exactly what we needed after such a long journey from the UK.
10/10 - highly recommend staying here.
We did 5 nights and felt this was plenty as we wanted to travel around more of Sri Lanka, however we were so relaxed and comfortable that it was hard to say goodbye!

The room, the view, the beach, and the staff were all great. The place is so romantic for couples and relaxing for solo travelers. I went to bird watching from there which Seven Turtles arranged and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had in my life.

The family are wonderful. They're kind, friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our time with them very much. The cabana is close to the beautiful Kalimetiya beach and bird sanctuary. For peace and quiet, local life and friendly people it's a lovely village to spend a few days in. The cabana is basic, but comfortable, with its own terrace looking out over the garden. Thank you for your smiles and kindness and see you again!
Very beautiful wood house in nature. Great view from window to sunrise/sunset with lot of birds. Room is very clean and staff very kind. Its near to beach.
