A really nice hidden Gem! Very relaxed and perfect place to let your soul rest. Shoutout to Matti for making me feel welcome from the very first second. The tents are not hot at all because they have a wooden roof so the sunlight doesn't go through.
Located on 1 km of private beach, Kactus KohTaKiev offers accommodations on the sunset side of Koh Ta Kiev. Guests can enjoy meals at the in-house restaurant or have a drink at the bar.

We loved our delightful comfy hut which is partially open to the jungle (see pic). The beds were comfortable and we had a resident large lizard to look at which lived in the roof beams or near the night light (see pic).
Finding pick up: Pick up is the beach and not one of the nearby piers (see pic). There is under cover seating benches to wait at. The tuk tuk was $10 from Sukanaville Port (using grab app). There is a nice restaurant with hammocks on the water - something 19 - just to the right of the pick up point if you are looking at the water, to get some fried rice/ noodle ($5) or seaford to wait in (see pic). You need to wear your bather bottoms into the boat. We couldn't get a tuk tuk back but a local lady working at a food hut rang a friend. Grab app didn't work. It was still $10 to the train station and plenty of time for 2 pm train to Kampot.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was so relaxed but with enough different scenery (private pool, communal pool and beach) we felt we could have stayed longer. The staff were amazing and very helpful! It was a beautiful stay! We made the most of the free activities they put on eg. head massage tutorial, meditation, paddleboarding etc.

Very nicely located on the beach. The bungalow was very nice (even though you have to be aware that it's quite open so you're right in nature with all its inhabitants ;) ). The prices in the restaurant are a bit heavy but you could refill your water for free anytime. They also offered free yoga classes every day. The beach is nice and quiet and if you ask them, you can get a garbage bag, collect the garbage on the beach and get a free drink in return! Great idea!
Overall we had a really lovely stay.
The resort is placed right on the beach and it’s possible to trek through the jungle to get to other parts. There’s plenty of hammocks to relax in, beach volley, boat trips and even microphones ready for a karaoke night!
The food was also nice, a little expensive but you’re on a remote island so it’s to be expected.
There’s quite the amount of trash on the beach, but if you fill up a bag of trash, you can get a drink! So win-win.
The island itself is truly a hidden gem amongst the south Cambodian touristy islands. It’s a secret getaway with fine sandy beaches, a rich, deep jungle and all around kind and friendly guests and staff. The equipments were quite basic, which was fine though, since most of the time spent was either in a hammock or in the warm ocean water.

Lots of activities from yoga to snorkeling, volleyball, macrame and walking through the jungle to name a few, or just grab a hammock or sit on the beach and read a book and watch the stunning sunsets.
Highly recommend the evening boat trip to see the luminous plankton as it was spectacular.
As a solo traveler I really enjoyed the me time here! Woke up with the sea infront of me. There’s no better way to start the day! Such a beautiful beach and absolutely once in a lifetime sunset! I joined the fishing tour even though I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Caught 3 fishes and it was so much fun! Staff is super super friendly and helpful. They are so passionate about Crusoe.
Such a beautiful place to wind down and relax after busy travel days. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious and the location is stunning. I have a beautiful spacious bungalow tucked away in the jungle and still have a fabulous view of the ocean. QiGong classes each day break up swimming, walking and lounging around and a fabulous deck for an afternoon cocktail is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. Come for a couple of nights and stay a week. I did!
Amazing hostel on the beautiful island Koh Ta Kiev. This place is so magical: sleeping in a tree house with the sound of the ocean, having the best food, amazing sunsets, private beach. The perfect destination to chill, relax and meet new people. I had the best time and also the staff is great. Thanks guys <3

Everything! what an amazing experience I had here! Such a beautiful place with wonderful staff. It is more on the basic side but I personally love that about this place. Lots to do here, art space to make use of beach litter, yoga/tao (and similar) classes on everyday, lots to explore, bioluminescent plankton to swim with right on the beach. Highly recommend.
