We stayed at babaleq during a surf trip to desert point and it was awesome, the owner jhon is an internet technician from the village and was helpful to all our questions and had a good communication in English. The accommodation is simple yet well above Indonesians home stay standard, we felt safe and close to where we needed to be, this place is located in a simple local village in a beautiful bangko bangko bay next to desert point, when traveling you can choose to stay on a luxurious resort or have a true local culture immersion and that was our choice, wish jhon and his family’s all the best as his accommodation business keep growing it will get better and better each and every time a western stays there we being supportive of a local man’s bussines so let’s keep doing it. I stayed four days on the island and in the resort and I had the most beautiful time. There is so much love and detail in the whole setup of the lodge, the bungalows are super comfortable and you feel like you are immersed in nature at all times. Besides nature sounds it is quiet and I immediately calmed down and relaxed. The staff is so nice and attentive and on top of that the food at the restaurant is delicious. Not only the Indonesian dishes but everything from the italian menu (the Pizza!!!!!). Breakfast ist also plentiful, tasty and beautifully arranged. This place is truly a slice from heaven and I count myself lucky that I could stay here and hope I can come back one day.

I had an absolute wonderful stay with Michal and Hera. The room was nice and cozy, and the hosts made me feel home. Hera and Michal were very accomodating, ready to help me with anything I required to make my stay as pleasant as it could possibly be. I absolutely liked food there, again they customized dishes for me. Breakfast there is incredible! I just loved pancakes they served. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have amazing energy and do their best to speak English but also teach you some Indonesian. As someone who is very sensitive to smell, I liked the smell of the bedsheets! They use a softener that smells amazing. Absolutely loved it there! Thank you very much Hera and Michal!
