We are a family of 4 and we really enjoy our stay in the island. The resort is just so cosy, people really nice, food delicious and the sea is fantastic. There is a very good snorkeling just in front of the resort.
There is the possibility to do some activities ( exploration of other islands by boat, fishing, etc) just ask the owner and he will arrange it for you. Everybody is really nice and helpful ( they even arrange a fantastic birthday cake for us). Thank you to make our stay so nice❤️

Everything, I repeat, everything (resort, team, food, organisation, cleanliness) is fabulous. The island itself is a true paradise: peace, relax, exceptional sea. But a special ingredient is added to all this. The owner Claudine (even remotely) is always present: she helps, solves, simplifies. And she coordinates a team of exceptional workers: always smiling, available and ready at all times to make you feel good. Honestly, I have taken many holidays around the world (with my husband and two little girls) but I have never met such an efficient owner and such loving and attentive staff (never intrusive, but always present).
The resort in general is a small pearl in a unique place in the world. But the entire MB staff manages to turn a beautiful holiday into a unique experience. Score 10 and praise, not being able to give more!

When I arrived with the local boat in Balai on Pulau Balai, a gentleman was waiting for me and took me to the second boat.

Dinner was more rice than I could eat, lunch was OK, but for breakfast there was only a very thin banana pancake.
On the way to Singkil I bought waffles, marshmallows, cookies, chocolate cookies, small breads with cheese or chocolate for 25 EUR.
I was not hungry and I did not lose weight.
