The location is great (a bit far from Heraklion) with good access to the sea. The beach is nice, as you can really walk up and down (quite rare in Crete to have this long beach). Plenty of restaurants around. The host is wonderful, very helpful. The terrace is the cherry on the cake, with wonderful views of the sea.

The apartment is nice and comfortable. I was in the one that backs to the children playground, so evenings were a bit noisy if the balcony was open. The bedroom is on the other side of the apartment and it is very quiet to have a good night sleep or a nap. If you are coming for vacation and love to be within walking distance to the beach this place is perfect. The beach is 2 minutes walk. If you want to get to town or the airport and don't have a car or don't want to take a taxi, the bus stop is 5 minutes walk and there is a bus schedule that is pretty accurate through KTEL site. The schedule is updated every few minutes and tells you if bus is coming earlier or later by a few minutes. The location has a number of restaurants and coffee shops on the main street and at the beach (nice restaurants). If you want to have a chair for the beach, it costs 20 Eur. for the day at the beach snack bar.
Manos is the caretaker and he is an amazing host! He is very patient and helpful. He was a great help for me to get my luggage delivered from the airport by calling them and setting up the delivery! (my luggage did not arrive at the same time as my flight). I am very thankful.
The breakfast was arranged in the room and the main breakfast items were placed in the fridge. If you email them with specific requests, i am sure they will make it happen.
Manos also gave me a little souvenir at my departure, which was very kind and thoughtful of him! I would definitely stay there again.

The resort was fine: friendly staff, a lot of activities, many restaurants and bars, very good food, every evening they had tematic dinner, nice night parties for kids and adults, low level for sea water - good for families with kids.

Beachfront accommodation comes in a variety of forms, from well decked-out resorts to secluded homestays and villas. Lovely little beach hotel with very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Easy to get to Heraklion by bus or car. Emi Seaside has its own parking lot, which is great if you rent a car during your stay.
Emi Seaside is located in a more isolated area, quieter than on the main street. It has a private beach with free sunbeds on the seaside, so no extra cost. The parking is free and located next to the property with an access code gate. Next to the property is a nice taverna "Waves Beach Bar Restaurant" with very good greek food. They have an exotic parrot as their mascot. The water is not very deep, with sandy bottom (at the shore at least) and the beach is supervised by a lifeguard.
The bungalow style accommodations are set in a wonderful garden. Peaceful location ideal to rest. Amoudhara beach is not the prettiest on Crete but offers the perfect location for who needs to be near Heraklion and would like to sightsee the surroundings, with the option of being able to spend few hours at the end of the day relaxing by the seaside. Excellent breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful (thank you Giannis at Reception). We were offered free upgrade and a complementary dinner in the restaurant.
The hotel is right on the beach, it’s a long strip, perfect for taking a walk by the ocean. I could hear the waves and smell the sea all day long. I stayed in the suite and I was very happy with it. it had a nice terrace to sit and relax in the evenings. It feels like you’re at someones home so it has a warm atmosphere. The staff is nice and had some good conversations with some of them. I will definitely check if it’s available when I come back.
Wonderful location right on the beach only 15 mins from the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant served generous portion of decent food with tables out on the beachfront. Sun loungers on the beach free of charge. We loved our short stay.
The best host ever! Apartments are on the beach. Beside that, Emi seaside is near main Heraklion atractions and its also great location to explore that part of Crete, for example Agios Pelagios area, including Spinalonga island and mountains.
