The atmosphere at this hostel is just exceptional and can hardly compare to any other hostel. We stayed here for 2 weeks and wouldn’t have stayed any shorter. The staff is super welcoming and always helpful plus you get a real local fijan experience as the staff and locals are hanging out with the guests too which is super nice. One evening we even had a fijan dance and fire show! The location of the place also couldn’t be better with the beach right in front of it. You also get fresh local food 3 times a day which is really delicious and really reasonably priced. The team also runs daily trips to other islands, snorkeling, etc depending on what you are interested in. If you are looking for a real fijan experience on a beautiful island with beautiful people and want to get to know the fijan culture this is the place to be. I can only recommend this place and would return anytime! This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at! Plus when you go there send big greetings to Bosco from Michi, a living legend!

A stunning view from wherever we were on the island. We loved our Beach Villas that were so private and offered everything we needed with stunning views. The walk along the elevated seaside bridge to the main complex was a joy every time, again with mesmerising views!!

Beautiful island with fabulous coral reef! Great for snorkelling off the beach, though there are resident ‘friendly’ reef sharks! Bures on the beach are very spacious and comfortable large beds. Very good value compared to the other island resorts close by and this is the only accommodation on the island. Laid back ambience adds to the relaxation !

Great location, the neighbouring 5 islands offer nice day trips (Cast Away Island tour, village tour, snorkelling tour, etc.). The beach front villas are very remote and quiet and have the best view to the nearby islands and the private pool is also good temperature, because it is sunny all day round. Matamanoa Island also offers plenty of opportunities to discover, despite of its small size - great hiking and walking, catching sunrises and sunsets, super snorkelling. The service is excellent, tha staff is super kind and welcoming.
