We absolutely loved this Ecohotel. it’s exactly like the pictures, a beautiful wooden rustic hotel right on the beach. We had a room with a balcony and separate private bathroom downstairs, which we chose as we prefer to be elevated but could easily have had a downstairs room with en suite. Great communication from the manager before arrival too. The price is incredibly reasonable & the staff keep the place super clean and looked after us during our stay. The food was great, as were the cocktails! The beach is mostly deserted, with nice waves to play in but still very shallow waters. We stayed a week, left fully recharged and had the best time. A little slice of paradise that will be hard to beat. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. 💗

There’s nothing quite like waking up to the sound of swirling waves and the smell of sea air through your bedroom window. Wiji was exactly what we were looking for in a small week getaway. Clean, calm, good wifi, 15 min walk from the main town, pool, comfortable houses and some beautiful wild beaches. On top of that, it is run by Juan Camilo who is super friendly and resourceful. He helped us arrive to the island (in low season) and had a contact for anything we wanted to do there. Would love to come back
Coral and Jaime are a surfing couple mostly from Israel. They chose Isla Fuerte as their dream tropical home and risked investing into an old hotel. They're gradually renovating the cabañas to the standard of a blissful tropical cabin all with a kitchen, fridge and gas stove so you can cook your catch. They will show you the island, take you snorkling and might tell you their story making it a truly private, personal experience for you. With a bit of luck you'd be greeted by a sloth on the terrace of your stay.
Wiji is a great place to hang out, cool cabanas and a swimming pool, two beaches close by and generally excellent food. The boat trip over is pretty seamless, and Daniella and her team are very helpful and friendly. What is particularly lovely is all the sloths that live on the property, you get the chance to see them up close just by your cabana or the pool. The set menu for lunch and dinner is generally a good choice, and there are a la carte options as well.
The house is amazing, calm, directly on the beach and surrounded by the nature. The kitchen is good equipped and perfect for cooking your meals. You just have to bring all the ingredients you need from the main land as well as basic stuff like soap and toilet paper. There are people living directly next to you who care about your well-being and deliver you fresh fish which was delicious. They also offer you to cook for you.
