our stay at bamboo hostel was great. our private room was clean and with air conditioning (necessary as it is very hot). the bathroom is separate from the bedroom however. The common areas are cleaned at least once a day, the small courtyard with table and sofas is great for relaxing or meeting travelers. the included breakfast was very good, full of good fruits, eggs and tosted bread, it changed everyday.
There is also a bunch of drinks available in the common fridge.
Finally the owner was really nice and super helpful, he was attentioned and helped us book some tours.

The location is perfect for those seeking a calm break. Surounded by the sea and isolated by the mangrove. Alfredo and his team did everything to make our stay unforgetable. Local fishermen brought their fresh catch every day and Jaime cooked delicious dishes with it.
Wilmur was always a step ahead in helping us in every way and made everything seem effortless.
Our night trip with Luiz to the phosphorescent lagoon was magical.

The location right on the beach was great. Waking up to the view of the ocean in the large dorm was amazing. The large dorm is split into 4 sections with 4 bathrooms, so even though it is a big dorm there is plenty of room and privacy. Each bed also has a mosquito net and there are plenty of fans. The staff are friendly and helpful and the common areas on the ground floor open right up onto the beach, with plenty of tables, hammocks and loungers to relax on.

I really enjoyed my time at Isla Mística. I slept in a tent which was super nice located beside the ocean. Everybody who worked there were nice and polite,
good costumer service. Especially the volunteers Jonas and Kathi from Germany.
It’s a shame that the food doesn’t come in bigger portions because it’s really good.
You basically have a whole island for yourself. Pristine beach, good food, amazing staff. Animals and jungle surround you. Sunset at the pier is amazing. A place of true peace & relaxation.
Superplace!! Relaxing, swimming, happy hour cocktailbar, what more could you want? Staff is great en joyful. Dancing under the stars on the beach and nightsnorkeling with fluorecend plankton!!

Beautiful small island with your own private beach. Was a welcome change from the busy beaches of Cartagena. I felt a bit out of place as a solo traveller at first, as it was mostly couples who kept to themselves. But the staff were so friendly and made me feel very welcome. Bianca and Sabrina especially were very friendly and organized some games to play to get people involved.
Great place! Away from the people and vendors. Your own small paradise. We had the room with the beach view and loved it. It was better than we expected, since we expected worse according to some negative reviews here.

Beautiful beachfront location, perfect to relax and watch the sunset. Very chilled atmosphere and lots of hammocks to relax in. The dorm room was basic but clean and comfortable. The hostel is rustic but perfect to just relax by the beach for a few days. Very nice cocktails
