Hotel San Pedro de Majagua, hotel in Isla del Pirata

Located in Rosario Natural Park on the Caribbean ocean, a 60-minute speed boat ride from La Bodeguita pier, this hotel offers private beach access on wild Rosario Islands.

We travelled with our 3 year old and 6 year old kids, and absolutely loved (almost) everything about the hotel and its surroundings. The atmosphere is serene and relaxing. The two beaches are very beautiful and clean. There are small stones and corals in the bottom of the ocean. So for those who are sensitive to this, I recommend bringing swimming shoes. We choose to spend most time at the beach without music. The beach with music stops playing at 3pm. So the evenings are peaceful. Both beaches have a bar and personnel serving drinks. The hotel offers massage and I definitely recommend trying at least one treatment. The massage therapist has really good techniques. We tried snorkeling and going to the aquarium close by. Everything is easy to arrange with onsite staff. One thing we liked was that the personnel is really friendly and makes you feel taken care of. They circulate the surroundings and when interacting they are always friendly and check in on you.

Lewis and Jaime! all of the staff was amazing but in particular these two guys went above and beyond with every request and did it with a great attitude. they are all stars! the hotel is rated a 2 star i think but it feels way more high end. the ocean is spectactular, i could go snorkeling right from the hotel, the rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable with large fans. the loungers were comfy and didn't feel cheap. overall that island was a lot cheaper than the other ones too

We had a blast at this pretty much private island! It’s a really great value. We’re not ones for sitting at the beach so we enjoyed snorkeling all around. They had a masseuse on hand we all loved that was very reasonable. We also did the plankton tour at night that blew us away. All the staff was so nice and accommodating.

I like how rustic it is. Wasn’t looking for an American style hotel and prefer thatched roofs, fans, open air atmosphere when in a place where that is the norm. The staff was great, took care of all my needs and were super friendly. Will always remember sitting at the edge of the ocean with a staff chatting about life. There was no rush on anything, which I appreciated after being in Bogotá and Cartagena for a couple of weeks. I left relaxed, chill and very content.

A beautiful hotel with stunning bungalows overlooking the ocean. Food was fresh and delicious. As it is set apart from the main island, it’s a lot quieter so great to relax, plus incredible snorkelling just off the beach.

The location is the only positive thing about this place. The hotel is made up of many small cabins. Our was directly on the water. There is no beach with sand because the water comes up to some stone walls, but you can get in the water by going down some stone steps and the water is calm for swimming. There are beds and chairs all around the hotel. Incredibly beautiful location.
