Great host (Loukas) - provided transport to and from the ferry, facilitated a quick check-in and gave us the island basics. Makares is just a short walk to the center of the village. Great seaview, clean - as advertised. Felt comfortable to spend a couple of days there.

The customer service is exceptional with continuous checking and offer to help well beyond what can be expected: Eirini offered to buy the straps for my postcards as the post office was open only for a few hours a day.

Location was great (in the heart of the village), provided that you are not looking for a sea-view location. Building is brand new (a year old) and the owner runs 2 other properties on the island so he's very experienced and this shows in the construction of the building (materials) as well as facilities and amenities.

A recently renovated apartment in Donoussa and within 2.1 km of Kedros Beach, Dimitrakis Guesthouse features a garden, comfortable soundproof rooms and free WiFi. Host Dimitrius met us at the port and helped us with our bags and drove us to the lodging. Along the way he shared details about the city and island. The home was STUNNING. Of all the small cyclades we traveled to, this was the best lodging. It was SPACIOUS. The patio was fantastic. Lots of very charming details. It was so nice to get up to a higher elevation and AWAY from the town. We loved waking up and having coffee on the patio while listening to goat bells. It was well-situated between attractions on the island. The bus is frequent, but if you can bring a car to the island that is a major bonus as this house is NOT within walking distance of anything (which we loved).

Located in Donoussa, Vegera Apartment 'Ostria', Stavros Donoussa provides accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Very comfortable and great location. The room was quite spacious with a desk even and enough place to put up ones things. There is a separate kitchen/eating area with enough plates, etc for 3 plus a large refrigerator and freezer and an electric kettle. The bathroom is large as well and all in all one has lots of space to move around in. The location is quiet but within 5 minutes walk to the seafront where the shops and restaurants are. Elizabeth the owner is very kind and helpful and discreet. We enjoyed our time there very much
