The "hairy coo" room for my 1st night. 😄 The helpful directions. The closeness to town. The food suggestions. Everything about it. ❤️ I ended up staying a 2nd night and was thrilled to see they had a room. When I walked up, close to dark, I saw the host (I'm sorry I forgot his name) in the kitchen, and when he looked out, he waved with a big smile! He opened the front door for me and said he was happy to see the Nancy on the new reservation was "their Nancy"!!! 🥰 He apologized that the hairy coo room wasn't available, but the "pheasant room" was just as lovely and comfortable. Such a perfect home away from home for a weary traveler.

Offering a garden and river view, Alt-an Retreat Lodge overlooking loch linnhe is located in Fort William, 14 km from Loch Linnhe and 30 km from Glenfinnan Station Museum. This was one of of favorite places we stayed while on our 10 day vacation in Scotland! Beautiful view with amazing hosts. We would definitely recommend staying here.
