The owner lives onsite and was flexible with our changing accommodation needs. The space could accommodate everyone just paying for the extra people. We had cows with their cowbells ringing, a view of the lake. We enjoyed the kitchen with a bottle of wine we had picked up.

The location is stunning, Mrs Sonja is absolutely wonderful. She made for us a reservation to a restaurant (it was my husband’s birthday) even if there is no habbit there to make dinner reservation(:. So we spent a beautiful evening near the lake, with a lovely view and a very very nice waitress. An experience we won’t forget. The drive through the periphery of wolfgangsee is beautiful. There is a nice Shawarma/pizzeria in the vicinity along with local cuisine restaurants. The Chinese restaurant is a 10 minutes drive in Bad Ischl.

Set in Hallstatt, near Museum Hallstatt, Haus Trausner is a historic homestay that has a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Haus Trausner was an amazing stay. It was close to the town and very accessible. The room was exceptionally clean and cosy with beautiful views. The host Maria was extremely friendly and helpful. Her hospitality warms our hearts. The breakfast she provides is delicious and more than we could eat. We definitely recommend Haus Trausner as a must stay in Hallstatt!
