Big thanks to Rosalie!! I was traveling solo and feeling ill and had the feeling i was going to pass out. She came a couple of times to my room to check on me en gave me here private cell number that i could call if needed (even in the middle of the night). Since i was traveling solo i was a bit scared then (because of the feeling to pass out) and she made me feel safe by checking on me and giving me her number. Also great room, really clean and good location.

Everything! The perfect overnight experience! No 5-star hotel in New Zealand can touch this level. Perfect breakfast supply, great beds and pillows. A deer enclosure in the backyard. A beautiful chalet.

We enjoyed being there so much we asked if we could extend our stay. Sadly, they were booked so we were unable to. However, due to how much we enjoyed our time there, we are hoping to come back next year and stay again. The cottage is so comfortable that we cancelled our dinner reservations and grabbed food at the local grocery and ate in both nights. With the ocean on one side, mtns on the other, why would you want to be anywhere else? Extremely well equipped with everything you could need. Comfortable, relaxing, and beautiful setting all rolled up in one. Thank you for all the special touches included in your cottage. Our favorite place in NZ so far.

the backyard and its view of Kaikoura Mtns was unmatched. Dennis gave us a tour of the farm animals and gardens. He and Ann made us a generous and tasty breakfast.

We love the style and decoration of the house including the available facilities and details. The owner must love the house so much, so we thank for sharing the lovely place with us. The view is superb. The garden is beautiful. The 3rd bedroom has an ensuite facility and very private. We didn't use the study room though the owner left us a key to access as well. We didn't cook but the kitchen utensils are of good quality.

The location is a stone throw from the beach front and can directly see the sunrise in the morning. Room is big and spacious. The room is also well furnished. I love the strong water pressure from the shower. The host, Patrick is extremely friendly and accommodating.

Jen provided a great breakfast: coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit. Great selection of breads and pastries and condiments. The dining room was inviting and guests had a chance for relaxed conversation. There was also a well stocked and clean communal kitchen, in addition to an outdoor bbq/dining area, where we could prepare dinner. The rooms are beautiful with an excellent view to the gardens and mountains. This is indeed an oasis after a day of touring. Jen is a very knowledgeable and interesting host - very helpful and thoughtful (only nightlight in all of our stays!) and her two boys are just great!

Good location close to the beach. A fully self contained lounge, spacious bedroom & bathroom. Host was helpful in explaining the nearby facilities and preferable meal locations , which was also provided in a helpful and instructive compendium. The bathroom was spacious and with heated floor. Easily accessible to the local sights. Breakfast was pre-prepared at our available own timing.
