The Rafalias Mansion is such a serene and calm place to unwind. You enter into a perfumed garden with the scent of lavender, lemon and orange trees. Its peaceful and quiet, yet close to the harbor and all the shops. I traveled alone and I have never felt safer or more cared for. My room had a lovely yellow balcony where I sat every day and felt the magic of Hydra--an island outside of the modern world with no cars or vehicles of any kind--helped me truly unwind. My host, Andreas, was so kind and attentive. A truly wonderful place I hope to return to.
