Each cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and welcoming. The outside area was ideal for our children, including the park and football area. Zak and his wife were so friendly and helpful it made our stay perfect.

Zak and Marcela are both fantastic hosts, perfect location, total relaxation of the countryside yet all activities and attractions within a short drive. Plus plenty to keep the little ones entertained at the cottage, from seeing and feeding their animals, dogs, pigs and chickens to the huge outdoor area including slide and swings, tennis court and football, so much space to run free. Also has indoor play too including table tennis, table football and a pool table. For our first holiday as a family it has been amazing, the little ones have loved the freedom as much as we have. Could not want for more. Totally satisfied.

Donna and Paul are exceptional hosts. Their service and attention to details were gold standard. They have both been through a trying period of their lives yet their concern for our comfort and enjoyment of the property and facilities were without fault. We can recommend to anyone considering staying at Score Valley Country House to book without hesitation. The property is located in a picture perfect valley and has more than enough parking to accommodate guests.

This is one of the most wonderful rooms I have ever rented! The hosts, Ann Marie and Barry, greeted me warmly upon my arrival and were generally available but not intrusive. The room was simply stunning! It was like having my own little apartment set in a historical property but updated with all the modern conveniences. There was a small fridge and kitchen stocked with utensils and even a little dining table. I appreciate that they had milk waiting for me for my morning coffee. Full breakfast cooked to order was included. Bed was so comfy and ahhhh, that soaker tub!! Plenty of outlets and a very nice desk where I could set up my laptop. Separate sitting area/living room. The best part was the attached private patio that meant I didn't have to get dressed and slog outside for a cigarette. Ten out of ten.

Location is great for exploring the area (but the cottage is half way up a steep hill and the drive is very steep, not ideal for people with bad mobility or families with pushchairs etc)we drove to most places but walked to the saw mill pub for excellent food. Host left us starter amount of tea and coffee and a lemon drizzle cake which was a nice touch. Rooms were clean and a good size and perfect layout for 2 families to share with 2 good size bathrooms. Lots of information in the cottage on local walks, places to eat etc. We were 2 families with teenage children and really enjoyed staying here.
