Attractively set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Gionmachi, Minn Gion is situated 600 metres from Gion Shijo Station, less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.7 km from Heian Shrine. The air-conditioned accommodation is 300 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The accommodation features spa facilities, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. The room size is huge compared to many other accommodations and hotels of this price range. There is a washing machine, the convenience store is literally just beside the hotel. The train station is about 7 mins walk. The kitchenette’s size is just right. There are also wall hooks that allow us to hang out stuff contrary to the other apartments that we stayed in there are any wall hooks.

Very interesting conversation and very friendly, and happily made me breakfast early in the morning. Room was great size and very comfy - fantastic host and fantastic location, I'll definitely be back to SHIMA if in Kyoto again :)
