The kids room is particular was well loved by our children. Snacks were provided on our arrival and there is also a filter fed water dispenser which was a life saver! Other amenities like the washing machine was very useful after a week in Bukit Lawang. Highly recommend for those who have a night to kill before their flight.

Owners are very friendly people, always ready to give you tips on everything: transportation, trips, local food. Room was comfrotable and the beds were the best we have seen in Sumatra. Hot water was a big plus. You can order breakfast or dinner there, and it will be homemade prepared, which is for sure delicious, but we found it a bit too expensive for our budget. Scooter rental available for 150.000 a day.
Great spot to chill during the day. Rooms do have a lot of space. Staff is very friendly and will organize a lot for you like: scooter rental, ferry tickets and more. Every morning a local breakfast which was different everyday.
The host was friendly and responsive. The apartment has whatever we need for our stay (kitchen with basic cooking utensils, clean bedroom, bathroom and even living room), even fridge and microwave. The host even provided us with free drinking water and bath towel. This apartment has a direct access to Deli Park Mall, playground, gym, and swimming pool. My little kid loves the place!
Close to the lake, nice little apartmentblock. There are tables and benches facing the river. Very nice vibe.
Juma is a really nice place to stay. Very nice apartments (mine had a really nice balcony) with beautiful view on Toba lake. Best of staying at Juma was the owner Pino, who made me feel at home, and made an itenary for me every morning when I rented a scooter and traveled the area.
The host was the best woman we ever met. She was really helpful and willing to give us any kind of information. She helped us with moving around letting us her scooter and also dropped us off at the airport. If you want to feel confortable and in good hands, this hostel is the best option in Padang.
We enjoyed our stay at Freddie's: buffet breakfast offers vast choice, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the position is great (we had an apartment with a beautiful beach view). Food at the restaurant is ok (nothing unforgettable) and the service is a little slow. The room was spacious but it could have been cleaner/better maintained. All kinds of services are offered (scooter rental, massage, ferry tickets..) and the vibe is nice and relaxed. Overall we reccomend it!
