The owner is the director of the contemporary art museum, and the concept is to provide an experience as if you would be staying in a museum (hence the name, El Museo). Each room features original paintings by contemporary Spanish artists and original mid-century furniture pieces, plus tons of art books. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff is very professional. The location is in the quiet part of the centre, around the corner from the spacious and sunny Plaza de Merced with the birth house of Pablo Picasso and a few nice terraces.

Also an upstairs private terrace which was a surprise. Small supermarket across the road with a well priced locals bar next door. Our fave churreria around the corner.
