Though the rains did not allow my family and I to walk around as planned, I liked the fact that it was close to the subway station at 50th, where we could locate all other areas of interest.
The apartment was neat. The 3 bedrooms, kitchen, sitting room, and dining were all functional and excellently laid out. Though it was small, it did the job, and the price was good for a property at such a location. Everything from corner shops, barbers, show repairs, and a nice Mexican restaurant to host your guests were within a few metres radius.
I also particularly appreciate the passion of the host who made every effort to resolve an issue we experienced. We had jammed one of the bedroom doors, and even though it was late and raining, he ensured it was resolved that same night. Checking in was also seamless.

The apartment was perfect for our needs. Although we did not cook the full sized kitchen was very handy for breakfast and snacks. The apartment is up two flights of stairs. Once inside the apartment is quiet and lovely but the building itself was a bit dirty. We loved the location which was super handy to all our needs. Great restaurants and easy access to groceries and public transport. We mainly walked 5 minutes to Union Square subway then it was a quick, easy commute to anywhere. Joe's pizzas across the road are excellent. Communication was prompt and very easy. We really enjoyed our 11 night stay here and enjoyed the extra space we would not have had in a hotel.

The unit is one of the nicest apartments I have ever stayed at in my life. The 2/2 is spacious, beautifully designed and with every amenity one can need.
To get to NY Port Authority, there are several buses that run often just 3 blocks away. The ride takes about 20 mins.
I also took a ferry but that required some walking.
We did not cook in the unit but it has everything there to cook every meal.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit NYC.

Feeling privileged to have stayed at Luis and Val’s beautiful, luminous, art-filled apartment for the weekend of my partner’s 30th birthday. The hosts made us feel completely at home in this incredible space. The neighborhood is safe and quiet but there are frequent, direct buses to 42nd St in midtown Manhattan. Amazing views from the Boulevard just down the street. I also recommend the French bakery and pastry shop around the corner!
Apartment is nice and clean, close to Hudson River with an amazing view to Manhattan's skyline. But going there from jfk by a taxi is very, very expensive because the apartment is situated in New Jersey and you need to pay toll from Manhattan.
Edgar, the host is a very helpful person, providing the guests with all the information on due time to guarantee the best stay as possible. All our doubts/requests were solved in a very short time and Edgar made sure to send us also very useful information as to the area we were staying. A very good apartment and an Excellent host. the best thing is the owners. they are great, tend to your every need and immediately. the apartment is clean, spacious, and has everything you need for a great stay. they stack it with food before you arrive. the location is excellent for anyone visiting nyc for a few days. stores and restaurants at affordable prices a few steps away. public transportation 2 min walk. will definitely return.
