Everything was exceptional from start to end. This was a last-minute getaway and we could not be happier with our choice...we came from Lisbon and we knew we wanted to visit both Vila Nova de Gaia for the Port Wine, but we also wanted to visit Porto. We knew that Porto can be horrendous for parking and driving, and since we came from the south, Vila Nova de Gaia was a much better choice to stay given that Porto is just a small cross away on the Luis I walking bridge. We arrived late, but we contacted 7 Gaia Toaster Apartments and Bernardino Pinho stayed in contracted with us and provided clear guidance on how to get to the apartments, to get the key after hours, and explaining the details about the apartment and included breakfast. We arrived late at night and followed Bernardino's instructions and got into the apartment without a problem. The apartment was an awesome surprise...super modern and clean...very well put together and no touch was left undone...nice fridge and very nicely equipped kitchen with a touch of classic but very modern look. The shower too was amazing...clean, modern and well sized. The bedroom is on a loft with a wood stair leading to it...very cool look. The kitchen has an island like area with four large barstools and opens to a lounge area that doubles as a second sleeping area for occupancy greater than a couple. The lounge area bed is an L-shaped couch that opens in a way that it becomes a queen-sized bed and to my surprise, it was extremely comfortable compared to regular sleeping couches that just pull out and are spring supported. Finally, the breakfast was superb...per person - a juice of choice, a hot drink, a regular small plain break and one with seeds, one croissant, a yogurt parfait with fresh fruits and granola, butter, ham and cheese...everything was amazing. A definite must return to when I go back to Porto. Cheers!!!

Ana is an exceptional hostess. She makes you feel very welcome and she is always ready to help in anything you need. She was very kind to welcome us with a delicious Pão de Ló (tipical Portuguese Cake). The house (2 bedroom apartment) has a beautiful pateo and it was spotless clean. Despite not been in Porto city center, its location is very close to the Cais of Gaia (very nice area to visit, with all the Port Wine Caves), which leads you easily to Porto city center and the Ribeira region (Douro banks in Porto). Plenty of free parking places in the area, which is very convenient if you have a car. Highly recommend this place.
Vila Nova de Gaia

What a find this property was! We were not sure if staying on the other side of the Douro River was the right thing to do ... but it was fantastic! We were on the top floor and had a phenomenal view from our balcony of the old historic part of Porto. How the lights shined across the water at night! Our host, Jorge, was such a gentleman and made us feel very at home. The apartment was large, quiet, clean, and everything worked! There is a dependable Italian restaurant just down the road and a food market with fresh produce about 10 minutes away. The location worked for us. Plenty of restaurants and access to tourist attractions within walking distance. We walked every day across Luis bridge or took a bus to get to other parts of the city. This property is STRONGLY recommended.

Very clean and cozy. Each bed room has its own toilet, bathroom which is very convenient. Location is great as well, let alone the view, we could enjoy a nice wine at the room balcony overlooking the river and town.

My favourite thing about this experience was the communication with the owners, Jorge and Celeste. They were really helpful and kind. The apartment was super well equipped, clean and comfortable. We had a place to park, which is something really valuable. Good internet connection. The localization is amazing, you can reach the main touristic points by walking. And the view is beautiful!
