I absolutely loved my stay here! The cabin includes a well-equipped kitchen and a clean & modern bathroom. There are also a lot of windows, so it was bright, welcoming, and comfortable inside. I also loved that there were heated blankets provided for the bed and a small space heater which helped keep me warm at night. There even was a small table with chairs on the porch, so one could have eaten outside (it was still a bit too cold outside for me to do that). You can also see the sheep from your windows :) Location-wise this cabin worked perfectly for me since I could easily do day trips exploring the Catlins as I was able to reach both Curio Bay and Nugget Point in a reasonable time. My last highlight was Mindy, the friendly dog, who would greet me sometimes and ask for belly rubs :)
For the travellers who appreciate a space of their own at the end of the day, an apartment or flat is the perfect home away from home. Furnished rooms and kitchen facilities give groups and families the flexibility to enjoy downtime separately, or plan the next day’s activities over a shared meal. Often available for short and long-term.
There was a lot of space for the 2 of us . Like a full flat. It had separate toilet and access to toilet/ bathroom from bedroom. It had full kitchen for cooking. The location was very central to all sights and here was a few eating establishments nearby. This was handy as most of the Catlins has very sparse hospitality venues which are often closed, especially in off season. There was a decent 4square supermarket nearby too. I advise stocking up with everything you need if travelling south as it is hard to find food otherwise.
A perfect choice for my family. Clean, comfortable and all the facilities we needed for a short stay in the area.
Parking was available at the front door to our room. Our host Gaynor, well her delicious welcome muffins held over the kids until I could prepare dinner in the fully equiped kitchen. Spacious and warm rooms, and the beds.... so comfortable it was hard to get out of bed in the morning. Supermarket is located around the corner, and exceptional coffee is near there too (look for a little wooden house with a "coffee' sign).
Great location and very nice accommodation too. Super comfy bed with great shower. Good kitchen and provision of essentials. Didn't meet any staff so can't comment but good communication regarding getting in to the apartment. Very quiet and peaceful.
