Very nice accommodation with a great, well-kept garden with wonderful plants and trees. The house with the apartments has an ideal location, you are within a few steps directly at the lake. Just amazing, excellent location within beautiful Cannobio. A hidden gem, very private, secluded with parking which was a great bonus. Very walkable: 2 mins to cafe/bar, 5 mins walking to grocery store, 10 mins to lakefront. Free street parking closeby, but can be occupied -- then parking is a few minutes away. Very friendly host who also speaks German. Overall, excellent stay.

We were staying in the spacious upper apartment, which had an enormous sunny roof terrace with amazing lake views. All fenced, so great for dogs and children. Two tips: - For a quiet beach: turn left on the big road at the entrance and right just before the tunnel. When you follow this road, you’ll find a trail down to a nice little pebble beach where you can swim. Less noisy than the one right below the apartments. - Above the upper apartment, on the hill, there’s a steep hiking trail leading you all the way up to the village of Poppino in 30-40 minutes (follow the red-white marks). There you’ll find a few nice restaurants. For decent pizza and very friendly staff, Vecchio Grannaio is recommended.
