The house is located away from all the hustle and bustle of the main town. In my opinion it is the right distance from town as it isn't too far away that it becomes difficult to travel, and it's just far enough away from the noise and chaos of the town. The views of the mountains, the valley, and the sunsets from the balcony and terrace of the property are exceptional. You get stunning views of Mt Kanchenjunga and the range, whenever weather permits. Moreover, you get good, clean, home cooked food twice a day (breakfast and dinner) as long as you inform early. There are quite a few cafes in a radius of 1km from the house as well.
The whole house is well maintained, the room is good and comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The owner, Peter Sir (and his family), is kind, humble, and caring. He can guide you on places that you can visit and will help you with how to get there, etc. I enjoyed every bit of my stay at Dawn homestay. It felt like my home away from home. By the time I left, I felt I was a part of their family, and was truly sad that I was leaving. I will definitely go back whenever I am in Darjeeling again.

Location...kind of....since we visited during the rainy season, we could not have the view of the mountain range. But the cloudy Darjeeling view was enjoyable alongwith the toy trains passing from near the balcony. That was kind of an experience. Besides, the location is on the hillcard road itself, about 4 km from the mall entry point....walkable distance.

The apartment is large and could be very nice. But, things like very difficult method to use shower and must use 5 different keys to enter each room of apartment! Your hallway is used for access to other things.
We had a great stay at blue valley apartment . The trip was fantastic, and the accommodations were great. The highlight was our host, Basu, who was so friendly it felt like he was a part of our group. His hospitality added a special touch to our experience. The apartment was comfortable, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed. I highly recommend staying here for a great experience

We had a fabulous overnight stay at Ridge View. Jayashree and her team were the perfect hosts. The location has amazing views and is within walking distance of The Mall. And the apartment was spacious and very comfortable, and great value for money. I only wish that we could have stayed longer !
This hotel has excellent size rooms with great views over the mountains. It is clean with a good bed and facilities. The distance to the Mall is closer to one kilometer to walk but it is all flat and in one direction. The staff are very helpful and polite.
Very spacious, clean and fully equipped flat. Name to few were room heaters, microwave, water filter, gas cooker, hot water in kitchen/bathroom, electric kettle. Double glazing window in bedrooms.

Literally it felt like we were home although away from home. We could have moved in it was that kind of feeling.
The location is not only bad but we just felt doomed.
The entrance railing was entierly covered up with birds shits.
After entering you will find no outside view, as the flat is surrounded by old dirty buildings. This is another main issue.
You will feel like living within a well.
The kitchen tap was useless.
That stay was just a spoiler of our entier trip.
The host arranged a taxi for local site seeing in lieu of Rs.2500, and that was the only positive outcome of the stay.
