The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything you need for a short or longer stay - including if you choose to cater for yourself. The views are beautiful from the balcony and, compared to lower altitudes, it is cooler which is nice on hot days! Driving, it isn't far from the beach and within easy reach of many walks. It is also within walking distance of a lovely taverna for dinner.

Fantastic hotel next to the beach. Clean, modern rooms with a very comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival. Good size pool and nice loungers. Enjoyed breakfast. Good location across the road from the beach. Would happily stay again!

The apartment was beautiful, clean and well furnished. There were two balconies with wonderful views of the sea and mountains. It was lovely to watch the wild goats on the mountain side The hostess was delightful and extremely helpful and friendly. The beach was a short walk away as were the restaurants and bars. This was our first time staying in Sougia having only visited for the day previously. We found it very relaxing with several tavernas to chose from, tried a different one each night and all were good. We had a large studio with an also very large balconey overlooking the sea an ideal location.
Everything! The apartment was great, it had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. Wonderful hospitality. The upstairs bedroom and balcony was a dream and the view was fantastic. We don't want to leave and we would love to come back.
I've stayed here before, never disappoints. Lovely apartment on ground floor with proper kitchenette that contains everything you need. Really comfy mattresses. Staff were fantastic and helpful throughout. Will defo stay here again

The host Chris was always available and offered excellent advice and updates, the room spacious with a corner kitchen facility that was small but functional, closets however are needed. The title given to Galini " studio and apartment " is a misnomer. It would be more accurate to call this a good size hotel room. The hospitality of this place is the major strength and Sougia a lovely village.

Joanna very attentive host. Questions regarding local transport prior to stay had been answered and suggestions made. All very helpful. Ideomeneas Apartments were easy to find on arrival in Sougia. Perfect for a stay before and after walking down Samaria Gorge.
A beautiful sanctuary in the tranquil heart of wild Cretan countryside. Exceptional and gracious service from the staff makes you feel special from the moment you arrive. Amazing views from the lovely studio apartment (we had one of the ‘older’ ones so imagine the new suites are even more special)
On site restaurant served wonderful food, and a short walk behind the hotel through the abandoned village is an amazing village taverna with spectacular views (do not miss this!)
