The property is situated on a hill with a stunning view of the sea and the mountains, conceived as a small village with several houses made of stone and a central courtyard with a swimming pool. The apartment we occupied was nice and clean with all the needed utensils to cook. The host was very nice in guiding us to the next village to buy groceries, and in indicating a very good fish restaurant on the beach (Taverna Aristodimos). Festos palace is 15 minutes away (11 Km) and that was the principal reason we made the trip (it is better to go in the afternoon, but not to late, in lack of visitors they close earlier). A few kilometers away is the Kalamaki beach, by strong winds impossible to swim because there are some stones and you can get hurt.
Situated within 4.9 km of Phaistos and 7.9 km of Museum of Cretan Ethnology, Aelia features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kamilari.

Absolutely perfect stay! Maria, the host, is such an amazing and kind woman. Room was nice and cozy. Kitchen is small, but it has everything you need. Bathroom is freshly renovated with awesome marble like tiles. Bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. Location could not be better. 20 steps to the beach, and 30m to the awesome bakery and supermarket.

We loved everything about this little gem. It’s tucked away but at the same time in the middle of the town. The beds were extremely comfortable, the terrace gorgeous, the kitchen perfect, there’s nothing more I can really say. Just perfect.

The house has everything you need and Apostolis’ family is really super kind. We were welcomed with a cake, raki, wine, oil,… and we also got a present when we left the apartment. The house has everything you need. We outmost appreciated the orange juice we were able to prepare thanks to Apostolis’s juicy oranges.

The apartment is roomy and the balcony is big, with a nice view. The beds are OK and the shower is fine, as is the kitchen. The cleaning lady is very helpful and nice.

A large amount of delicious food was available, most of which were either local products or made by the host. Nice garden with various birds and a koi fish pond. The apartment was super nice. There was a balcony and air conditioning in every room, which was nice. Washer and dryer were fairly new (and fast). Comfy, new firm beds. We felt very welcome from the beginning to the end. The host family was amazing- they filled the fridge for us when we arrived, and we received a homecooked meal twice during our stay.
