We’ve been touring Northern Greece on motorbikes for a week, staying in a mix of accommodation that have all been good, but Matzato was exceptional. The hosts were friendly and helpful, offering great advise on local attractions, the room was spacious and comfortable with a fabulous view over the rooftops of the village and the surrounding valleys, off road parking was a bonus. The breakfast was varied and delicious, for me the feta was the best we’d had in Greece.

- The hosts are really nice. Quite helpful in every way - from offering to get us groceries, to guiding us where to go and see nice places. The parking is in their backyard and the kids enjoyed the outdoor play.
- We got everything we needed in the house. it's a really big space!
- A little far from the old bridge/center of the city, but this is good for the overall quiet and calm environment there :)
- Didn't pay much attention to the name of the house, until I realized that Gamila is actually the highest peak in Tymfi mountain and you see how the sunrise throws it's colors on it, right from your bedroom. Really beautiful !!

Superb accommodation, peaceful & quiet with fantastic views & loads of character. Hosts were fantastic, very friendly & had stocked the fridge with various local produce - eggs, homemade jams, homemade bread etc. Would definitely stay here again if I ever return to the area.

Two toilets and showers in our apartment, it was great.
The breakfast was tasty and fresh, mostly homemade and there were plenty of options. The view was amazing ! The rooms are very spacious, the beds extra comfy and there are high quality sunbeds outside some of the rooms where you can gaze at the scenery. Flat screens in the rooms are huge for a hotel, my kids had a blast. Ask for info about the rafting and trekking activities, an absolute pleasure you shouldn't miss out on.
The hosts are very friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. The apartment was a small traditional room. It was comfy and warm. The breakfast took place in an area next to the room and it was delicious. The location is near the path going to the Drakolimni, making it ideal for staying at night there in order to start hiking the next morning.
Apartment in the center of Papigko, you can drive up and unload the luggage, if you go by car. Central parking is 10 mins away by foot. In the house you have everything you need. Very good place to stay. Price was acceptable comparing to good quality. The village is a fantastic place! Great nature all around. Hopefully we will be back there one day.
